In total I have recorded 10 bird of prey species in the study area. Buzzard, sparrow hawk, kestrel and tawny owl breed in or near the site, and red kite and barn owl visits are frequent. Peregrine and even marsh harrier visit occasionally to hunt, along with merlin in winter and hobby in summer.
